October Cheese and Wine of the Month!

 

We cannot believe it’s October already! The weather is changing and we’re excited for all the delicious fall foods that are now available. With the start of a new month, it’s also time for our cheese and wine of the month.

2014 Cheese of the monthOur cheese pick for October is an authentic Asiago. Today, Asiago is made with unpasteurized cow’s milk. It’s rich in flavor and great for salads, soups, pasta, sauces, panini’s and more. Asiago can easily take the place of Romano, Aged Gouda, or Parmesan in most recipes.

Try this Asiago in a grilled cheese combined with some Havarti and enjoy with a tasty tomato soup and you’ll have made a popular food dish all the more mouth-watering.

 

 

A great pairing with this month’s cheese is “Fiction” red wine. Fruity but with spicy notes, this wine is great for pairing with a variety of foods due to its subtle, but complex flavor.
